Prisonville USA

25Jul07

The United States now has the dubious distinction of incarcerating more people per capita than any other country in the world. Yet this astonishing jailing of America has been little noted because many of the prisons have opened in remote areas like Susanville.

This was from a PBS POV film, Prisonville, USA .

Fairly telling of the times in which we live, if you ask me. Others will have their own opinions.

Yes. It tells a lot about the times we live in.

and while others will have other opinions, those others are either ignorant fools or they are bought off by the people creating this new society that is destroying America.

    Thanks for the comment!

As for the fools.. well.. I’ve had my moments too I suppose. I’m hoping the real problem lay in the fact these people you speak of wont admit to how little they know while claiming to know a great deal.

I think you might agree that the worst fool is the proud one?

The worst fool is the one who refuses to question themselves and what is happening around them.

Pride may be an element in that refusal to question their previous choices and the outcomes. It certainly isn’t the total cause of their being fools. I’d bet on fear of being found out to have been wrong, myself.

Want to see another example of the destruction of a free America? Take a look at this Ah, yes. FBI to build an American Stasi. Anyone who trusts the conservative Republicans to run a program like this is certainly a fool.
